Hi, I'm Lucas Renders.

When I ride my motorcycle through unreal sceneries, I sometimes get an unstoppable urge to just stop, sit quietly next to my motorcycle and philosophize about our place in the landscape. These are the moments where I as a human being in this immense universe, feel myself reduced to just a tiny element.   Although we are sometimes convinced otherwise, our personal presence, input and impact in this universe seems minimal, even negligible and certainly temporary. The lyrics of ‘Dust in the wind’ by Kansas (1977) often cross my mind in those moments.  With my photography I want to capture these moments of reflections. No hocus pocus. What I see is what you get. I think of myself as a ‘post romantic landscape photographer’.   Always click on the picture to see more.
